Welcome to our Telehealth x-ray referral service
In line with the Health Minister’s expansion of telehealth services, we are expanding our offerings to support Doctors and other health professionals conducting e-consultations. Below are three options for how we can best support medical professionals get quick and safe access to x-ray and radiography services during the COVID19 pandemic.
Following advice from the Department of Health, we are providing an important update on the requirements for what information is mandatory to be contained on referral request forms. It has been confirmed that the relevant regulations do not require referral request forms for Diagnostic Imaging to be signed by the requesting clinician. It has also been confirmed that regulations allow for referral requests to be made electronically (i.e via email or fax).
We are well set-up and prepared for the new world of telehealth and will continue to deliver our usual range of imaging services through the pandemic. Our hope is to support your service in whatever way is operates or delivers ongoing care.
How to use our Telehealth x-ray referral service
Step 1
Complete the referral form, by one of the methods below, and send it to X-Ray Newstead
Step 2
We will telephone your patient, with your referral request in hand, to arrange an appointment. All COVID-19 safety precautions are taken into account for our safety and the patients.
Step 3
We will send you the Radiologist report and digital images by your preferred method of delivery.
Online Form
Medical professionals can now use an online form to submit a referral for patients requiring an x-ray. We provide a step-by-step form to enable you to provide a fast telehealth referral without hassle. This option requires no downloading, printing, or physical signature.
Digital Form
We also have a downloadable digital form that you can complete on your computer and email back to us. For referrers who regularly refer, we can support you in populating your information.
Print Form
If it is easier to use a print form, we are happy for you to print a form and either scan and email, or fax to us. This option requires downloading and printing a form, and returning it to X-Ray Newstead digitally.
